After another wonderful breakfast we headed down to the Zodiac launch for a trip to Panama City. This ship uses the rubber Zodiac rafts to transport people from the ship to shore. Luckily for us, today’s launch went to a dock in Panama City, Balboa Marina, not a wet landing, so we could wear our regular clothes.

When we arrived at the dock, we went looking for a taxi, rather than taking a cruise excursion. We found Luis, taxi driver, and asked to go to Panama Colonial Town. This section of Panama includes many old churches, homes and even the Presidential Palace. There are many shops and restaurants in Colonial Panama. After many pictures and some shopping by Elizabeth, we headed back to Balboa Marina for our trip back to the ship on the Zodiac.
For dinner, I had the rack of lamb and Elizabeth had the James Beard selection of poached salmon. She didn’t care much for this entrée. The restaurant made up for this disappointment with one of Elizabeth’s favorite desserts, tiramisu. Tonight is Latin Night with the trio of Ines, Diego and Alex. This trio is from Argentina and were very good. Besides playing Latin music they also instructed us on how to dance the Cha-Cha, Salsa, Merengue and Bachata. After making fools of ourselves we headed back to our cabin for the evening.
